R.G. Kenrick Co., Inc. converted a Golf Laboratories robot from Servo electric to compressed air. By converting this robot from a Servo electric to compressed air we have reduced the operating costs and made it easier to operate. First, we have reduced the electrical requirements from a high voltage to a standard wall outlet. Second, the computer interface system is no longer needed. We only use a couple of push buttons to start and reset the robot. All the costs associated with maintaining a computer interface system are eliminated. With the pneumatic system we have reached swing speed of 115 MPH and are able to hold that speed within 1-2 MPH.
